Sam Formo studied at the California College of the Arts and has also studied under the guidance of renowned sustainable design educators, Sandra Ericson and Lynda Grose. Alongside leaders in architecture and product design, Sam's work No Waste Pattern Design earned him the distinction of Next-Gen by Metropolis magazine in its 2009 Next Generation Design Competition. Sam was also a finalist in the Fashioning the Future competition, the leading international student competition for design and innovation in sustainable fashion, run by the Centre for Sustainable Fashion at London's College of Fashion.
