Yeohlee Teng moved to New York from Malaysia to study at Parsons The New School of Design. In 1981 she established her own design house in New York, YEOHLEE inc. Yeohlee was the recipient of the Smithsonian's Cooper Hewitt National Design Award for Fashion Design in 2004. Her work has been exhibited around the world, including at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Aedes East Gallery in Berlin, and The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles. Her work is on permanent display in Le Musėe Gallieria, the fashion museum of Paris, and at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.
